Not sure about imikimi, but you can add borders to your pictures with pretty much any decent editing program.

With your picture loaded, you don't want to resize the picture, but you do want to increase the canvas size by X number of pixels all the way around.  For example, if you're picture is 800x800 and you want a 20px border, increase the canvas size to 840x840 with the original centered and you'll have it.  Generally your current background color will be used as the new blank area.
