go to a baltimore ravens game this fall, if you arent into sports, then baltimore has a lot of seafood restaurants

There's plenty to do in Maryland.  If you're interested in the arts:

- Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

-Maryland Handel Festival

-Elizabeth Myers Mitchell Gallery

-Reginald F. Lewis museum of Maryland African-American history and culture

-Jonathan Hagar House

-Baltimore Museum of Art

For outdoor pursuits there are:

- fishing

- hunting

- canoeing

- kayaking

- beaches

- swimming pools

- campgrounds

- hiking trails

- cycling trails

- state parks

Sports:

- golf courses

- horse racing

- Baltimore Orioles

- Baltimore Ravens

- Delmarva Shorebirds

Plus there is the National Aquarium and several zoos.

I havn't been here too long, and here's what I can tell you.  

If you go to dc, ride the metro.  There's no where to park in the city, trust me, it's not worth it.

Best crab cake - G&M in Baltimore

Edgar Allan Poe has roots in this area.  I havn't checked it out yet, but intend to .

Best grocery store, Giant Eagle.  They carry Buffalo - which is hard to find.

Question for you:  Could you be more specific in terms of what  your specific tastes are concerning activities, restaurants, sports, arts & entertainment, etc?  And, how far are you willing to go out of your neck of the woods...considering gas prices these days?  You'll get a better response with a bit more info in your question.

check it online is all i can really say, like wikipedia or spomething but from what i know of maryland its really historic
