Anyone know or have the last name - Sauerbrey?

I have always lived in the US, but my Family came over long ago from Germany. I think he was raised around Hanover, Germany. I know i still have family there, but know idea how to track them down. My german family here have all passed away, but i am very interested to know more history. I would love to travel there someday to see where my grandpa, uncle , my Oma and Opa all came from!

There is a very well known state legislator in Maryland whose name is Ellen Sauerbrey. She served 20 years or so, & was the Republican nominee in two unsuccessful runs at becoming Governor of Maryland.

I'm certain she is still living in MD, & may be of some assistance to you. She is around 60 years of age, so may have some family history , or leads to share.
