  1. Majority of heavy rap & heavy rock music.

  2. Most rap songs degrade women.

  3. Not a lot rhymes you can make with benevolent or sexism.

  4. Can sexism be benevolent? No matter how nice you are trying to be it's still hurtfull isn't it?

  5. Here are some I can think of:

"Every Little Thing" - The Beatles

"Under My Thumb" - The Rolling Stones

    "Take A Letter, Maria" - R.B. Greaves

    "She's A Lady" - Tom Jones

"Never Been To Me" - Charlene

"Wishin' & Hopin'" - Dusty Springfield

  6. I would imagine that many of them do these days.

  7. 'Girl Talk'.  Although it is about how women like to gossip with their friends, it basically takes an amiable and tolerant view of this.  It is a touch condescending, but in a benign kind of way.

  8. Ringo Starr's "You're 16, You're Beautiful, And You're Mine"?

    Benevolent statutory rape, too.

There were a lot of songs from the 50s and 60s that made women sound more like dolls than humans.

On the male side, there was Julie Brown's song in the 80s called, "I Like 'Em Big And Stupid." Though...I'm not sure where the benevolence comes in on that one.

  9. Every word of "any many of mine" or "man, I feel like a woman," or any number of Shania Twain songs.

  10. Could you please clarify what you mean by benevolent sexism? It's kind of a self-contradictory term....?
