Anyone know some Acting classes, sessions or schools and New York City?

Hi i'm Daniel S. Im 13 years old and my dream when I was 5 years old was to be a baseball player. But ever since i started watching Family Matters- i realized to myself that i could do that too! I can make funny noises, and act, etc. But like i want to be in sitcoms as a 14 year old ( u now like Urkel, Hannah Montana, etc.) so where do i start!? and also where can find some good acting schools near me ( I LIVE ON STATEN ISLAND) and when u act there will there be people watching me to put me on their show or movie?

One way to start is to pick up a copy of the weekly newspaper Backstage.  (I'm not sure where to get a copy on Staten Island; newsstands carry it all over Manhattan, and you can always find it at the Drama Book Shop, 250 W 40th St.)  That publication is full of ads for acting classes.
