I checked a data base with 530 million names; no luck. The USA nation-wide phone directory I favor has no one with that name listed. (High school principals generally have unlisted numbers.) I Googled it and found just 70 hits. There is an Al Sowonie who has a facebook page and a Rev. Moses Sowonie in Ghana.
