  2. It is called a Pidgin, but only if it is spoken.  Not all "contact" languages are spoken.

    Pidgin is always a second language.  Once adults teach the language to their child as a primary language, it becomes a creole.

    Eventually the creole can become a full blown primary language.  For example, English seems to have developed from Middle English whose roots are based upon an initial pidgin combining Old English of the Angelo Saxons with Norman French.
