Galway city is easily the best place to visit.... it has a great night life, friendly people, fab coastline and very nice scenery.... Donegal is another absolutly beautiful place and they are right beside each other so u could possibly visit both.

Dingle is wonderful and most of the locals still speak Gaelic which is always interesting. Galway is great but will be crowded in August. Kilkenny and Killarney are cute little towns, and if you're interested go to Waterford where the famous factory is and see how they make Waterford Crystal. Cork is a ton of fun if you're looking for a party! Have fun! Ask me again for more info:)

Belfast.  The Troubles are on serious hold for now and the city is prospering.  There are great restaurants and lots of touristy things to do there.  The food is vastly improved over what people consider traditional Irish food because a better economy has made a big difference in what people want to eat.  Just like the rest of Ireland, Belfast is changing quickly and the hospitality industry is just part of that change.  

Try the Bombs and Bullets Tour.  It involves taking a taxi ride through the Shankhill area and then through the Falls Road area.  Your driver can tell you about the walls and murals that divide West Belfast and still manage to drive properly whilst talking all the way.  

Don't forget to visit the harbor, it's beautiful.

Galway and the whole west is 10 times better then dublin. Dublin is like any other city in the world.
