A sports bar that has plenty of TVs. Although most are tuned to a sports event, at least one screen should shows something that doesn't involve a ball, for that un-sportsmanlike friend who gets mercilessly dragged along for the evening. One with a beer selection that is huge, the happy hour's a steal, and the kitchen makes first-rate bar food, including sandwiches and the usual wings and fries. — James

  1. That's easy enough to answer.  I had the pleasure of taking a week vacation in the Kansas City area and I discovered that the best sports bar and pub in Overland Park, Kansas is Birdie's Pub and Grill!

  2. Birdie's? No. It doesn't suck but it's not awesome.

If you must stick to Overland Park, I would recommend the Other Place on 80th and Santa Fe in downtown Overland Park. They have the best wings in town!

If you could travel to very close surrounding areas, I would highly suggest the 810 Zone in Leawood at 119th between Nall and Roe. Great happy hour specials...1/2 price appetizers and drink specials every night. They have pretty good wings and the best chicken nachos ever in the history of chicken nachos. Outside of happy hours, the prices are a little high. However, the TV access for sports cannot be beat.

  3. Go to the 810 zone.

The walls are nearly coated in TVs and the food is pretty good.  If you have a friend who doesn't like sports you can get a booth instead of going to the bar and there are computers built into the wall that allow you to watch whatever tv channel you want or go online.

  4. the other place
