Anyone know the cost to hire a small businness accountant as a consultant?

It will depend on what area of the country you're in.  Around here (SF Bay Area), experienced accountants bill upwards of $100 an hour.  Even a good bookkeeper bills $50-75 an hour.

It depends on what you need done and the qualifications of the accountant you choose.

Probably anywhere between 30 to 60 dollars an hour depending on type of work and the amount of experience of the accountant. ($30 is very cheap....might get you an inexperienced recent grad)
