Anyone know the name for this??

Im 26 weeks pregnant and when my bf was born he had a twisted gut and couldn feed he needed surgery to correct this and most of the boys in his family have had it. Does anyone know the medical term for this as im worried our lil boy wil have it and i want to get some info on it so im prepared im almost sure it starts with p?

Do you mean intestinal malrotation? I know that it is usually quicker to diagnose in boys than girls.

I hope you will be able to get an extensive ultrasound later in the pregnancy, that can hopefully pick up any problem so you can be prepared, and then discuss with your doctor the options.

I don't know the name for it. If you're really worried about it, you should discuss it with your OB. That way, they can be prepared for any feeding issues at birth.
