Went to Galway about a year ago and this has been driving me mad since...I went into what looked like a really old-fashioned dept store off the wee cobbled streets just up from Jury's Inn, the ground floor had some beautiful handmade silver jewellery that had phrases like "princess and the pea" and "twinkle twinkle little star" etc. I wanted to get something for my little girl but forgot to go back and then it was too late...if anyone knows the name of the store (or even better, the jewellery maker) I'd be really grateful, thanks!!

  1. think that sounds like blacoe

  2. blacoe or Claddagh Jewellers or maybe Dillions which is very close to Jury's Inn

the other jewellery stores in galway city center are

    Fallers on Williamsgate Street,

    Gemini 1, on William Street

Hartmann A and Son, on William Street,

    Jewel on shop street

    and McCarthy's on Shop Street

both Fallers and Blacoe's are dept store type operations.

  3. It sounds like Blacoe or if it wasnt just a jewellery shop it could have been kilkenny shop which is in a few other counties too not sure where though.

Why not come back and give us a visit?
