Anyone know the precise reason why Liverpool were denied a permit for Leto?

Didn't play enough games though Rafa was hopeful he would get the permit because he played some champions league games last season. He is still confident that Letos permit can be gained next season though and also says he is planning to loan him out this season. There are a number of clubs interested. I think Leto's looking like a promising player and forms a good partnership with Insua in the youth teams so im disappointed about this.

It's not man utd's fault liverpool messed up there maths when working out how many games he needed to play.

Liverpool supports always moan and think its other peoples fault there not a good team...........

Because Sebastien Leto had an Italian passport, but was then revoked. that meant he had to be granted a work permit to play in England. now he has to go out on loan or possibly join another club permanently from another country.

Mark Gonzalez also facing the problem last time before he played for liverpond last time, he was loan out first to Spain before he arrived at Anfield in order to have a work permit.
