Does anyone know where I can find a recipe for the vanilla sauce that goes with the Hyatt's apple bread pudding??

I went there for brunch on Mother's Day, and they had a wonderful bread pudding with a vanilla sauce, and I've been wanting the recipe.

The recipe for the bread pudding would be great too!

If you can't find it any recipe that is good, would be great!

    Vanilla Butter Sauce

    This decadent sauce can be served with fresh apple slices or over cake, ice cream, or any other dessert that you feel deserves a special treatment.

    Makes 12 (2 tablespoon) servings

    Prep Time: 5 minutes

    Cook Time: 15 minutes

    1/2 cup butter

    1/2 cup whipping cream

    1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

    2 tablespoons McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

  5. This is my favorite breading budding recipe:

    For the bread pudding:

        * 1/2 loaf plain white bread

        * 4 ounces melted butter

        * 6 whole eggs

        * 24 ounces heavy cream

        * 1/2 pound sugar

        * 2 cups apples, peeled, cored & sliced

        * 1/4 cup raisins

        * to taste, vanilla extract

    Cut bread slices into one-inch square and toast in a hot oven. Place in the bottom of a casserole and drizzle with melted butter. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Bake at 350 degrees until custard is firm, approximately 45 minutes.

    For the vanilla sauce:

        * 2 cups heavy cream

        * 1/2 cup sugar

        * 4 egg yolks

        * 1 tablespoon flour

        * 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

        * 1/4 teaspoon salt

        * 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

    Combine cream and sugar in a 2-quart saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Beat egg yolks, flour, vanilla and salt; stir in a little of the hot cream. Add this mixture to the rest of the hot cream. Cook, stirring constantly (do not overcook) until just thickened. Remove from heat and add ice cream, stiffing until melted. Strain. Serve with Pudding.

  6. Most bread pudding is served with what is commonly referred to as a hard sauce.

    Basically just sugar and water @ 2:1 and corn starch to thicken. Add vanilla to flavor.

    Bread pudding has no recipe, you just make it.

    Old bread works best. Crusty bread, brown bread, old donuts, muffins, croissants, etc. You get the picture.

    Base your recipe on the size of the pan you want to fill.

    Cube up enough bread to fill the pan.

    Add eggs and milk in equal portions to completely wet the bread.

    Add sugar or honey or molasses to sweeten.

    Add cinnamon, cloves and vanilla to flavor.

    Add fresh or canned friut as your heart desires.

    Bake @ 350 until done. Usually about an hour give or take.
