I was diagnosed with Stage IIB cervical cancer, but it has spread to the pelvic wall, moving it up to stage III according to my doc. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what the typical survival rate would be for this stage? Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

  1. I don't know the survival rate and I know many people with cancer and I don't get caught up in the survival rate as everyone is so different. Everyone responds differently to treatment and how they take care of themselves.  I do however have a friend whos mother had the same cancer started with cervical cancer and such and it went into the pelvic region and she is now been in remission for almost 13 years.  I know that this may not be the answer you are looking for but aim to the statistic of survival.  Good luck and a positive attitude can be your best treatment.  I wish you all the best!!!

  2. don't know about that but it will be hard for you because it i spreading but these days death is highly preventable

  3. Your doctor is correct if it extends to the pelvic wall it is a stage 3. The 5 year survival rate for stage 3 is about 30%.
