Anyone know the technical term for the text you see when you push the INFO button (see details)?

When a song is playing on the radio or from a CD when you push the INFO button and the Name of the song, Artist, and sometimes the album is displayed.

What is the technical term for that text that is displayed?

If the text just appears and you can't use it in your work, it's a "Balloon", just like the captions in cartoon books.

If it's for how to use your computer, it's a Graphic User Interface, or "GUI".

As far as the text goes it is just the CD informational text (as far as I know). The main term used to reference the display in general is GUI or Graphical User Interface.

Sorry I couldn't help more than that. I know a lot about music equipment and electronics but I haven't ever really referred to the informational text as anything but that and the GUI is the GUI.
