Anyone know what I could get for two 5th grade girls who are graduating next week?

I am a teacher and have worked with these 2 girls and I would like to get them a little something before they graduate elementary school. I'm thinking something small that would be a cute idea for them to get and appreciate. I work in the city and one of the girls has a mother who is very absent in her life.

I'm not sure how much time or money you're looking to put into it...but I just made my 6th grade cousin an 8x8 scrapbook.  I put ten pages in it.  Nothing fancy, just simple.  Overall I prolly had about 20 dollars in it and she loved it!!  She took it to school for days and bragged constantly.  I made the pages girly with pinks and such and focused on the things that were important to her....her friends. The most expensive thing was the book and it was I think 8 dollars at Hobby Lobby.  It took me prolly a little over an hour to complete and I couldn't have asked for a better reaction.  It was personal and something she'll keep forever.  BTW, I didn't put the pictures in, I left that up to her.

I am a 5th grade teacher and have had that  class for the last couple of years. I treated my best behaved students to a little party and ice cream. They had a lot of fun. I am also going to create a scrapbook on a CD with pictures of their school memories. Of course, I will also give them my contact information so that they can keep in touch. They will be starting middle school in the fall.

If they are going to a middle school with lockers....get them a cute mirror to put in their locker. I teach middle school and the kids (yes, boys too) are really worried about their looks.

Maybe something that is in style at the next school, something with the new mascot if available or a trendy purse or school bag with a note of your high expectations for their success tucked in.
