I agree with you - Sonic Chicken Sandwiches are the best.  I think it's more the way they put the sandwich together than the way they cook the chicken.  They grill the bread with butter.  

If you want to copy the sandwich, I suggest grilling the chicken in some butter.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.  Make sure you grill the bread and add some bacon and swiss cheese.
