a bit of a combo like lobster and shrimp.. try one of those asian food buffets that carry crab legs for dinner that way u have a variety of foods to try and dont have to spend much money

Tastes just like crab! LOL

Dried up fish meat. It is an acquired taste. Some say it tastes kind da sweet, I didn't think so. Blue Crab is the better one. But you must like seafood, period.

It's sweet, tender & juicy ---- similar to a young fresh coconut in taste and even texture.  It's delicious esp when fresh, go try it!  You will love it!

Crab meat doesn't have a real strong flavor... it can be slightly sweet, salty.  Similar in texture to lobster or shrimp, but more tender.

You didn't say what kind of crab you will be having, or how it will be prepared.  I recommend steamed crabs if you have the chance to try it - difficult to pick at, but delicious.

I find it similiar to fresh lobster but a bit stringier and saltier.  There are so many different types of crab:  Blue Crab, King Crab Legs, Dungeness crab , Stone crab claws (FL)and they are all different.  Crab takes on the flavor of the seasonings.  Crabmeat salad and lobster salad taste similiar, just as king crab dipped in melted butter stastes like lobster.  Try it...it's great!

I personally don't like them.....and i HATE to smell them cooking....smells like really strong urine.....yuck!
