Anyone know what a young olympic swimmer's 50m freestyle time would have been at age 13?

    I'm 13 too.

    Love swimming competitively and I asked "What were Michael Phelps times when he was 12?" And for some reason they removed my question....


  2. My guess would be under 25.00 for 50yards, and under 29.00 for 50m long course. However, It all depends on when you have your growth spurts. Certainly late bloomers will improve more rapidly later on, and some sprinters will only develop once they've started lifting weights. Keep working hard, milestones in your early teen years usually don't mean that much in the long run. It's when you're fully grown that times start to mean something. I've known plenty of swimmers that dominate one age group growing up and then fall off the mark. Eat healthy, practice every day and keep working hard!
