Anyone know what i could do?

So i went to my doc. appt. today and they said they could have induced me if my cervix was just a little thinner so she told me to have lots of s*x but now i dont go back to the doc. till next tues!! hoping it would come sooner then that! any suggestions are has this happened to you and you ended up going into labor before then?

As a nurse I can tell you your labor will be a lot easier if they don't induce you. Your contractions are less painful, you have a lower chance of c-section, and it would go quicker.

I know you are anxious but trust me it will pay off if you wait. You want your body to be ready plus the longer that baby gets to cook in there the better.  

Try to enjoy these last days of pregnancy, you'll have the baby forever but this only lasts 9 months.  And who knows maybe your water will break tomorrow. Let nature take it's course.

She told you to have lots of s*x for two reasons. Sperm actually helps to speed up the process of thinning the cervix and the muscle spasms called from the climax can also help cause contractions that start labor. But all in all, you will go in labor when you go in labor. I know it seems like forever now, but when the baby comes you will look back on these days that seem so long and laugh about how "in a rush" you were. You want what is best for your baby and waiting until it is ready is the best thing. Congratulations and good luck!

I was 5 cm and 50% efaced and still not in labor (for 2 weeks).  Went to work, walked, walked more and still ended up having to have my water broken to get things going.  I realize that the last few weeks seem like an eternity, but my advice is don't rush things and don't get your hopes up to go early.  Babies have a way of coming when they're ready AND an induced labor is generally more intense than the good old natural way.  I'm sure I won't get best answer on this one, because I'm saying what you don't want to hear, but let nature run its course and enjoy the extra prep time!
