Question:

Anyone know what is going on with these blood test results, what could be the underlying cause?

Had blood test results and ALT was high 134, AST was high at 54

GFR was 60 and MONOS% was 5.0.,

So what is going on here what is the likely cause? and sodium and glucose were on verge of being high.

It could be you are pre diabetic and your liver enzymes are elevated due to some kind of meds you are taking,if you take tylenol reg it will raise your enzymes or if you are over weight you could have a fatty liver and will need to lose weight.So it could be a number of things going on there.

    How much do you weigh?

    Any history of liver or kidney disease in you or your family?

    Any history of diabetes in you or your family?

    Any other medical conditions?

    Do you take any medication?

    It could be lots of things or nothing at all. Go to your doctor with answers to the above questions.

    Those tests are mildly abnormal liver function tests. GFR refers to your kidney function. Elevated blood sugar is the sign of Diabetes, which can cause liver and kidney damage. It is probable there is nothing going on with your liver at all. If you are overweight or drink a lot of alcohol, it might be worth getting a more comprehensive set of tests done as both these things can affect your liver. Also if you have any other symptoms or problems you may be worried about, see your doctor and get his/her advice.
