Anyone know what kind of paperwork you have to go through in order to own an ostrich?

An ostrich is not a pet.  It's a wild animal and should stay that way.

Get a horse instead.

i cant wait till i get one for myself. i'd be riding it up and down the streets, from home to work, and vice versa

Contact your state division of fish and game, each state is different. Some  U must have a permit to have one, others a fenced in area and permit and other states require that you show a need or reason to have one. Start with the fish and game people of your state, they should be able to give you all the info you will need.

If so, go to an ostrich place and find out what kind of paperwork it is...
