I love this song, please tell me what is this song about, I have read the lyrics but still don't know?

ive never heard the song but i just looked u the lyrics .. it seems to me that it is about every that happens in life

the first verse seems to be about wanting to go back and make their life alot more intresting ( almost as if sang from somone who is dead and regrets not doing anything intresting in their life "chapter 3 is empty"

the chorus to me seems to be about cheating death/escaping death

the rest of the song in general just seems to be bout regreting not doing anything great in life .. like a ghost wishing they had done more whent they were a live
