  1. you my friend can park on a single yellow line whenever you wish, its just that sometimes ( usually shown on a little yellow tin sign attached to a lampost, unless the local vandals have stolen it) you get nicked.

as a side issue , if there is no little tin sign on the lampost because the local yobs have nicked it, you might not want  to park your car there at any time

  2. A single yellow line means that there is no waiting at certain times shown on the nearby sign

  3. As others have said, single yellow lines have waiting restrictions which will be defined by a nearby sign, and the restrictions apply every day unless otherwise indicated.

Double yellow lines, on the other hand, mean no waiting at any time.

  4. Normally between 5 pm and 9 am the following day.

  5. you have to look at the nearby signs which will advise you a single yellow has no set times or days

  6. after 5.30pm

  7. HELLO

ON THE SAME POST SHOULD BE A SIGN TELLING YOU DESIGNATED TIMES AS THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME

    1)

There are also areas where parking or waiting is banned:

double yellow lines - parking is banned, although there may be specific exceptions for loading

single yellow lines - parking is banned at specified times

  8. Signs on the street should tell you. Some are different to others.
