Anyone know whats next for Edison Miranda?

Any fights coming up, and you think he'll get any title fight soon

He was going to fight the former super middleweight titlist, Mikkel Kessler but Kessler pulled out of the fight despite the fact that Miranda's camp gave him everything that he wanted in the contract.  Miranda has called out current titleholder Lucian Bute.  I think that would be a good matchup because it gives Miranda another shot at a world title and it will be a stern test for the undefeated Bute- it would be a good fight.  With the true champion Joe Calzaghe moving up, the division is now open for the taking, and aside from Kessler, Bute is probably the best in the division.  I would also not be surprised if Miranda fights Jean Pascall because of all the trash that they were talking towards each other, and Miranda has no problem going into Bute's or Pascall's hometowns in Canada because he has fought there before.  Look for Edison Miranda to either face Lucian Bute or Jean Pascall later this year.

he just lost to pavelic awhile back, so he will have to rebuild a little before getting title shot. Since pavelic has the belt. Of course their fight was the fight of the year in 2007 as far as i'm concerned, so i wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

Miranda was originally scheduled to fight Mikkel Kessler in May, but Kessler pulled out of the fight for reasons unknown. A decision is still being made on what to do with the fight card.

He shouldn't get a title fight for at least 2 or 3 fights considering he's only just stepped up in weight.  He's rated far too highly by all governing bodies in my opinion.  He has no right calling out the champs.

Given nothing came of the Kessler fight, he should take on someone like Lacy and see if he's carried his power up against bigger guys.

A rematch with Arthur Abraham is rumored after that controversial fight where miranda lost by a 5 point deduction and broke abraham's jaw. If this fight happends it will be a must win for Miranda if he wants to get back in the mix of things in middleweight division.
