Anyone know when they start playing christmas music on the radio?

Usually the week of Christmas, Most notably on Black Friday (the day after Christmas).

But in some markets, if there is 2 or more stations that play Christmas music only (which are normally adult contemporary), There is usually a fight with one trying to outdo the other and it can start anytime after Halloween that the station thinks is right.

I had one station in my area flip to Christmas 2 weeks ago (week after Halloween) to beat the other station in town.

Usually on Thanksgiving or right after .

Lately some places are playing Christmas tunes around Halloween .

Out in Kentucky they are already playing CHristmas Shxt on the Radio.

do you mean how many years ago-probably 50 or more.

If you mean how early in the season, I heard some Christmas songs yesterday-too soon, wait til after Thanksgiving please...

Depends on where you go. Down here they are playing Christmas music in the Stores and they will start playing it 24/7 on 2 different stations the day after Thanksgiving.

Most towns/cities already have at least one station playing Xmas music, just twist the dial.

You can also get it online, try iTunes, Yahoo, AOL, etc.

At last count there are 431 stations playing Christmas music 24/7. Many are listed at the below link.
