I mean really good, like the greatest burger known to man. Not like some c**p from Wendy's or anything.

  1. wimpys in 172 and saint nick buy the bacon cheese burger u gonna love dat s**+

  2. Search out the Shake Shack.  I know it looks crummy, but trust me there's a reason why there's a massive massive line every day of the week for those burgers.

  3. manhattan mall

    top floor

the place is called "the best chicken burger in the world"

    it is!!

  4. taco bell.

  5. Local folks know the best burgers are at Jackson Hole Burgers.  Period.  There's three of them in Manhattan.

Thick. I mean THICK. and juicy.

  6. 234 w  44th st Sardis, the best burger in the galaxy around 20 dollars now.  Having said this: . . .

...NYC is for hot dogs, not burgers.

    Gray's Papaya 2090 Bway

    Papaya King 179 E 86th

The marriage of the Papaya drink with the hot dog is something to die for.

  7. My favorites:

The Burger Joint (hidden behind the lobby at Le Parker Meridian Hotel on 57th Street near Sixth Avenue).  They serve very little besides burgers - good malts, too.  This is a small space with a shortage of seating and you won't be tempted to "hang out".  But, if you are looking for a great burger (about $5) you'll love it.

The Corner Bistro on West 4th Street in Greenwich Village (delicious burgers - not much else, as this is a bar, not a restaurant)

Peter Luger, the great steakhouse in Brooklyn, serves a great burger at lunch;  it's about $9 and worth the trip.

  8. I agree with the Burger Joint.  Best burger hands down.

I also greatly enjoy the burger @ DuMont in Williamsburg.  I'm a little biased, as i live in the neighborhood, and probably not worth the trip if you're not local.

Corner Bistro is overrated.  Former Bistro cooks work at Towne Tavern on W. 3rd and make an identical burger, which is only 5 bucks on Sundays.

  9. My favorite place to get burgers in the city is BLT Burger. It's on Sixth Ave. between 11th and 12th. The burgers are the best that I've tried anywhere.

There are lots of choices, the prices are reasonable and it's a nice relaxed environment.

Plus they have some great spiked milkshakes which complement a thick, juicy burger very well.

Although I still want to try Corner Bistro in the West Village. I've heard their burgers are amazing too.
