Companies may offer you free stuff if you agree to have advertising at their wedding or can create business for them (for example a bar may let you have it's function room for free if you can guarantee so many drinkers will be there)

I don't think there is such a thing as wedding freebies. I do know that when you mention the word wedding, people tend to get dollar signs in their eyes. Be careful when you are inquiring about things for the wedding and Good Luck!!

try to go to as many of those wedding shows as possible. sometimes they give out "swag" and other nice little opportunities.

all i know of as of now is to register at places and some send out cute packets

i did target and bedbathand beyond!  so far target gave me the most!

i may not use them all but i'm going to register with everyone!

I don't know about freebies per say, but a good way to get stuff for cheap is to look on Craigslist. A lot of times people will have unused or slightly used leftovers from their wedding that they just don't want to have sitting around anymore and they will usually give you a pretty fair deal on it just to get it out of their house and/or sight!

I got a beautiful unity candle set for $26. I have seen guest books for l$5 & $10, decorations from silk flowers to tulle to candles and holders, to beads or crystals to put in the vases for centerpieces, to the mirror panels for underneath. The options are endless.

Also, if you have a common color scheme, like red or blue, you can usually find stuff in your colors as well. Unfortunately my colors are teal and yellow so I am limited to the generic, colorless, neutral items, but I have still found a good selection.

Just go to the craigslist page for your city and type wedding into the search box.
