Anyone know where i can buy shoe soles?

I am not looking for shoe repair. i would like to buy shoe soles (the bottom with the tread and all) to make my own shoes.

My grandfather was in the shoe business for 50 years.  He got his supplies at Southern Leather Co. in New Orleans.  They have several offices around the country.  Their website doesn't appear to be operational.  www.southernleathercompanies.com
