Just go out and investigate, or find a local group and ask if you can go along on an investigation.

Unless you are on a Cable program or something, its not a job that pays money.

You aren't going to make a very good living doing this sort of thing.  It's really more of a hobby.  You also don't require anything in the way of education or credentials if all you wish to do is hunt for anomalies.
