my tack box that my dad built for me: (note it is larger but fit everything and NOBODY tried to mess with my things.)

**runs up to the barn to measure it. . . it's really nice, but i dont use it any more, i'd sell it if i could move it, lol**

it is in two halfs, the left half holds 3 saddle racks, and fits any size saddle. the right have has 4 shelves that hold almost anything you can think of.

infront of the shelves (on the side wall, the shelves dont come all the way out to the doors of the box.) are hooks for hanging items (smaller items).

on the doors are bridle hooks (2 on each door)

once i get back from the barn i'll give you the measurements, and if you want pics of it's layout just email me and i'll send photos of it for a better idea of how it looks.

i fit:

buckets, 3 saddles, 4 bridles, a winter blanket, a cooling sheet, a grooming bucket, a bath bucket, meds and suppliments, halters, lead lines. . . basically all of my equipment. dad built it after someone stole my mother's saddle for all our stuff to fit in at the barn and could be locked.

be back in a few with those measurements (note you dont need something this big, but it is very helpful to keep every horse thing in one box)

it's 6 ft high, 3 foot deep, and 3 foot wide.

2 foot wide part for the saddles

1 foot wide for the boxes/shelves. there's 5 shelves.

there were 4 hooks for bridles on one door and 2 on other side, there are bars across for blankets next to the saddle racks, had 3 saddle racks.  

it also had a light in the top so that you could find things easily (yes my dad goes all out when he builds something).

anyway the box is stripped now, the saddle racks now in our own tack room as well as the bridle racks.

the materials (wood, screws/nails) cost 40 bucks, you can find saddle racks for cheep if you look, and i'm guess total for the box would have been 80 dollars.

My friend had a tack truck she bought from a western retail store.  My hubby looked at it; measured & duplicated it to my specifications.

If you know someone who is a handy man, that would be your answer.
