Anyone know where the nightlife is in Montreal?

Me and 7 other buddies are heading to Montreal mid-April to check out UFC with Georges St.Pierre. We plan to just go absoultely nuts that weekend, no holds barred type stuff. We are staying right by the Bell Centre. does anyoen know some good bars/clubs that get pretty wild to hit up in that general area of Montreal?? keep in mind we are mostly into hard rock/metal music. Please help!

My old stomping grounds , St Catherin es and St-Denis street and that is the wild part of the east end . Anything goes and you find anything you are looking for good or bad . La Rue St Laurent and St-Catherine's which divides east end and west end very popular as well and pretty wild  as well but be very careful and no problem with the English language either . West end from St-Laurent's and Ste-Catherine to Atwater all kinds of Bistros and restaurants and good food as well . And the best place to me and safe would be the old Montreal near the port is very exciting as well .Lot of shops and restaurants and things to see . Visit travel Quebec web site  travel . Crescent street is in the area and has a lot of clubs - not hard rock or metal to my knowledge. You may want to check out here;
