i need some beet pulp for my horses. i'll probably buy a lot, so i'd like a good price. i'd prefer to not buy it at a feed store, but that's better than nothing

  1. Im also in oregon and when i was feeding my horse it we just buaght it at wilco and it was fairly cheap, you can buy it off line. I know my barn owner buys it in Bulk and she gets it offline. is there a pecific reason why you dont want to buy it from a feed store/ just curious.

  2. I'm in Oregon...personally I like the Farmer's Best Feed.  I use the shredded type and not the pelleted.  I pay $10 for a 50 pound bag.  It comes with molasses in it.  It's not sticky...just flavored.  My horses like it...and in the winter...I use hot water to soak it.  It's ready in 20 minutes and gives the horses a 'warm' meal.

I can purchase from our grange co op, a feed store, and a building supply place....believe it or not!!  We actually have a building supply and feed store that are named 'Farmer's'.  Don't know if they are affiliated with the feed...but the price is cheaper at the 'Farmer's places...than another feed store.

Just check around and price it...

Some places won't carry one type...like one of ours doesn't carry shredded...but another does.
