Anyone know whether there's a way of borrowing a car in France?

I am travelling to France in March, but can't hire a car because my driver's licence and bank account names don't match (reverted to my maiden name and haven't changed my licence over yet). I need to get hold of a car for a few days in France, and wondered whether anyone knew of a way to borrow one. Long shot, I know.

  1. I do not see how the fact that your bank account and your drivers licence do not match should affect the issue as you have a licence and you can pay the hire of a car with your credit card or direct debit card. Since you also need a passport, you can take your marriage certificate with you to explain the difference of surnames.
