If someone elses negligent actions cause you to lose your home what damages may you sue for?

family was living with me, I reside in a mobile home park. they stole money causing the lot rent to be late. they also committed acts in which violated the quiet enjoyment of others, I had told them numerous times that their actions would not be tolerated. due to their actions I am evicted and will have to turn over my house to the park it was placed in as I cannot afford to have it moved, which in turn will more than likely cause a default judgement for the amount owed to the mortgage company meaning i will lose everything i have ever paid on it.

  1. Did you make a police report that they stolen the money?  Probably not.  If so, were they convicted of it?  Probably no.  YOU were the one who "opened" the door and invited them to move in with you.  YOU should have informed them to move out.  However, you did not.

You can not sue for anything because for one, more than likely you do not have proof that they stolen your money and it was YOUR fault that you allowed them to continue staying with you while that "violated the quit enjoyment of others."

  2. You can sue them for any damages they caused and if what you say is correct you can probably get punitive damages also.
