Hey!

Looking for anyone who knows a bit about Denmark to give us a hand...?

We want to spend a short(ish) summer holiday in Denmark this summer. We're planning to fly to Copenhagen, stay there for a couple of nights then go to a nice rented seaside house on either the Swedish coast near Copenhagen (we've been told it's very nice there) or another coast NEAR TO COPENHAGEN.

What we'd love to know is how far away from Copenhagen a nice area on the west Swedish coast is, as close as possible?

And basically also any other info on holidays in Denmark!

Thanks very much!

  1. If you cross the Oresunds bridge to Lund on the other side in Sweden there are some nice towns...

  2. Hi! I've been to Copenhagen two years ago, the city is great!

I can direct you towards this web resource on Denmark's capital: http://copenhagencity.org, but this far from what Copenhagen can offer you in reality.

Concerning the Swedish coast near Copenhagen you are interested in, you can travel to Malmo crossing the famous Oresund Bridge. "This link connecting Sweden and Denmark is one of the largest constructions of its kind in the world. It is a complex mega-structure consisting in a bridge, an artificial island (Peberholmen) and a tunnel. All stretching for no less than 16 kilometers."

    Have fun!

  3. Hello :-)

This page might help you to find good contacts and information:

    Happy journey :-)

  4. I just saw some really nice Swedish coast towns from the train. I can't recommend any one in particular, not having stayed there or even left the train, but check out this blog entry at the bottom for the names of the towns:

Gothenburg is 4 hours by train from Copenhagen so these other towns are less than 4 hours away by train.
