Anyone knows about a house that is been sold for cheap?

I'm looking to buy a house but i want a bargain, i was wondering if anyone knows about a house that is been sold for cheap, i would appreciate if you could give me a website link. Best answer gets 10 points.

Contact a local realtor.  He can do a search on houses for sale in the area your looking for.  Houses are sold by dollar per square foot.  So if you want cheap he will give you the lowest dollar per square foot house in your area.  And if your lucky which most of the time is the case the reason the house is the lowest is because the sellers are desperate to move it or its a forclosure(bank owned).  Below is also a HUD forclosure site, thats houses that are forclosed and go back to the government.  The govt.  hates that because they lose money unless they have a taxpayer paying taxes and living in it, so they discount the houses and or you can bid up to 10% below their asking price and get a good house.

Some homes in Detroit have sold for $1,000 but they were just a shell.  Some homes in upstate New York sold for $8,000.  They were not destroyed, but they had gone back to the bank and the bank offered this price if someone would agree to buy 8 houses at the same time.

You may find your bargain in your hometown by looking at the bank repo's.  Watch realtor.com or ziprealty.com.
