Anyone knows history/ origin of the name Borgards?

Can anyone help find out more about that last name? Maybe anyone who has that last name?

There is almost no one listed with this name on ancestry.com.  The origin is probably German.

There are tons of Borgards...a lot of them lived in Arkansas--a couple in Jefferson, AK, a couple in Poinsett, AK; a bunch in Los Angeles, CA, and some in Alameda, CA. Go to ancestry.com, then "search," then type in the last name. If you have an interest in a person from a particular time period or with a particular name, let me know--I'm a member, so I can look up more info than someone who is not a member (if you're not.)

--Most came from Germany, followed by Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, Hungary, and France. 35% left from a port in Hamburg, Germany; 15% left from Antwerp, Belgium; 15% left from Liverpool, England and Queenstown, Ireland; 15% left from "other"; 10% left from Hamburg and Le Havre, France; 10% left from Rotterdam, Netherlands.

--Most immigrants settled in WI, IL, and NJ.
