There is one ship that allows pets--Cunard's Queen Mary 2, between New York and Southampton. Here's the info from their website:

Queen Mary 2’s kennel programme is available on all crossings between New York and Southampton in either direction, and is overseen by a full-time Kennel Master who takes care of responsibilities such as feeding, walking and cleaning the ship’s 12 spacious kennels. Travelling dogs and cats also receive a complimentary gift pack and other animal amenities.The kennels and adjacent indoor and outdoor walking areas are open throughout the day, enabling passengers to spend significant time with their pet. Reservations for the kennels may be made at time of booking, and are based on space availability. Contact Cunard for fees and additional requirements.

Sorry, doggies would have no where to do his "duty" and no vets in case of emergency.  He would probably get sea-sick and there's nothing for a dog to help.

Doggies aren't allowed, and for your dogs' sake, you should just get him/her a vacation stay for those days.  Either pet smart - or petco can direct you to real awesome places that pamper your pet (some with tv's/videos, real "dog size" beds! and everything)  It's a bit pricey, but he/she will enjoy!

no dogs aren't allowed on cruise ship. why would anyone want to take an animal on a cruise is beyond me. where it's going to p**s and c**p at? it's just like taking a kid.
