Me&my friends are visiting NY next weekend. I searched yahoo, but they're mostly all rooftop bars. Anyone know of a place where we can dine in too, besides sushi samba7? Not too uptight& high-class possibly. Thanks!:D

  1. Terrace in the Sky is on the 16th floor;   it's near Columbia University at119th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.  The view is gorgeous.  Dinner is stuffy - people really get dressed up.  Brunch ($29 for two courses) and lunch ($35 for three courses) are much more casual.

I can't think of any other restaurant with outdoor dining on a high floor where you don't have to be a registered guest of the hotel.  There are restaurants with indoor dining only that have spectacular views and are higher up.

  2. Johnnys on 4th street, enter on the west side
