Anyone knows of good places to visit in Malta?

So, when you come to Malta on a cruise ship you stop at the Valletta waterfront which is a very nice colourful place with a couple of restaurants. The harbour is very old and its a spectacular view in itself.

However ideally you go up to the city centre which is about 15 mins walk ( up a hill). The main road in Valletta is Republic Street. Valletta is an amazing city full of culture since it was built around 1566 by the Knights of St. John . Visit the St.John's cathedral and upper barakka gardens where you get a full view of the harbour. You can also shop and dine there in Valletta. Be sure to take your sunglasses, hat and sunblock if you are coming in the summer months! Enjoy :)
