OK i am just curious as to why this happens, anytime my lil brother is nervous he automatically gets a stomach ache, and at first i thought it was just a joke., but i'm realizing now that it really isn't, he tends to complain that his tummy hurts whenever he gets nervous, anxious, or has to do something that he's afraid to do.Just curious as to why that happens, anyone knows why?Serious answers pls, and is this normal for him to feel like this.

P.S. after a while the pain goes away, but i am wondering why it happens in the first place, most times he has to go to the washroom and #2 to get a relief from the pain, but i am just curious as to why it happens in the first place. Thanks for all serious answers.

  1. It's called irritable bowel syndrome, it just means that whenever he is really nervous, he reacts in a physical way and it is affecting his bowels. He could see a doctor to see how he could help it, but it isn't abnormal, I'd say it's fairly common.

  2. well i have to say it's IBS, my son has that same thing going on w/him, everytime he's scared or fearful of anything, he automatically gets a stomach ache as well, and it was diagnosed as IBS, i took him to the doctor for it.There aren't any cures for it, but they do however grow out of it.

  3. 1st answer sounds right on the money...my bet is it's IBS
