Anyone knows the name of this book?

Question

It's a work of fiction, set in the future. The main character, a man, has a diary/journal. The end of the world comes. Then, flash forward hundreds of years, the 'new' world has come about and their 'bible' is based on this man's diary/journal.

Anyone know the name of this book?
