Anyone knows the name of this shark?

I saw on TV long ago a shark that has a big round nose and it actually sticks its nose out of the water to sniff for a possible meal. This is good for the shark because smells travel faster through the air than through the water, but, I forgot the name of this shark and I can't find it on the internet.

Sounds wrong to me.  Some lamnids (white shark, etc.) can see reasonably well out of water, but all chemoreception (smell) is done in water.

Since what they eat is in the water, it would make no sense for them to sniff the air for it.

No such shark exist.  Not only that but it is completely and absolutely contrary to the evolution of sharks.  In other words, totally illogical.
