Crossroads is the first ever full fledged shopping mall in Mumbai, and perhaps in India. Opened in 1999 by Piramal Holdings Ltd., a subsidiary of a major pharmaceutical group, it is India's first mall management company. The mall covers an area of 150,000 square feet (14,000 mÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â²), spread over four buildings in the heart of the city.
