Some "Good will" stores around you. Some times have very good furniture, but you need to keep eye on this stores and going often.

For the first time , I am not going to tell you to try eBAy. If you see that a pub is going down the tubes, they might have an auction of all of the items in the pub. It is usually posted with the county and there is definitely a public notice posted in the paper. That would be your best bet, especially if they have lost their liquor license. If not, then go around to used furniture stores and look for the items that you think would fit in best with the theme of your pub. If you purchase a lot of items, they will give you a discount on them. I do not suggest going to the Salvation Army, as they are over priced for what you get. In some states though, they will have a half price day and then that would be the only time to go there. You may also be able to find items at home auctions. Say, when some one dies and the heirs don't want the household items, you can get great deals. Look for those in the paper , as well. You can call the county to see when these things are going on.
