Ok, My question is..

Is there anyone like me in El Salvador?

Ok, My family is German/Italian/swis & spainard mom side /..../italian & spain descent dad side, Both my parents were born in El Salvador to Salvadorian parents.Both sides are "whites". I know theres a ton of "Whites" in El Salvador but what might there/your decest be? I dont have blue eyes nor Im "White". My hair is brown, My eyes are Hazel Brown with a bit of Yellow in them and my skin tone is in between "white & Golden Light Brown" color. I dont look Hispanic but I dont look white. Im not even sure what I look like. Well, I guess my question is...

Is there any Salvadorians here with other descent of family here? Other then Spainard.

 I know how you feel my parents were born in El Salvador but are  very light..i have fair skin and hazel eyes everyone thinks I'm french or italian.... I know that my dads family comes from the catalan region of Spain.. But my moms family doesn't know anything about they're background which I would like to find out.. And just because we want to find out about our heritage doesn't mean we're ashamed to be salvadoran.. I'm proud to be salvadoran but I would like to find out more about my heritage how I got this fair skin def not from the natives so why should I close out my other heritage usually the people who talk so much c**p about lighter salvadorans trying to find they're back ground are the ones with one native blood in them who can't relate so think that everyone  else is lying

Hi..if anyone finds some legitimate information about how to track back Salvadoreans roots to Europe..I would be interested.  I am currently searching information on Ancestry.com but it has been very difficult b/c Ancestry.com mostly deals with American records.  I would love to know why we look the way we do.  I know that El Salvador is 80% mestizo, but that is a percentage in whole.  We are talking about the entire country, and with my family, I know we have mestizo in us, however, we also have European roots, Spaniard I am sure is the majority.  My family is mostly white or light complextion.  My Uncle and cousin are very light, with green and blue eyes, light brown hair..my cousin looks Irish..or German.  Our facial features are those of Europeans or whites.

I know the Spaniard Conquistadors finally entered El Salvador in 1528 but Europeans and others didn't start settling in El Salvador til the 17th and 18th Century.  So where do I start, I have my Great Grandparents names. but that is where I come to a dead end... any suggestions to where I can continue my search and find more information b/c Ancestry is not being very helpful..
