  1. i like any harley,just personal preference,and its spelled DAVIDSON.......lol

  2. yea but they SUK big time if an AMERICAN in AMERICA cant even by an AMERICAN motorcycle!!!

  3. I checked it out. Not for me. But I like the fact HD put some more HP into their Sportster.

  4. Didn't know a thing about it until your question, so I looked at it here http://www.xrdna.com/XR1200thebike/

have to say, don't like the looks.  nice to see new models in the pipeline, but won't be for me any time soon.... i think i'd promptly turn that into a cafe racer

  5. This is how Harley Davidson proves they don't have a clue how to reach everyone in the U.S market.

They say they made this XR1200 Sportster to attract the European market.

Tell me why this much more modern, sportier looking Sportster wouldn't attract many Americans who want a sporty looking cruiser or standard bike rather than the traditional old style chromed out Harley cruiser?

It's like Harley Davidson thinks that all American motorcyclists  are those in biker gangs that only want to ride big cruisers full of leather and chrome.

I'm sticking with Japanese manufacturers.  They know Americans better than Harley Davidson does.

  6. I have to say I quite like it, in fact it's the first time I've ever really seen a Harley I'd consider buying.

I still think it needs to loose 30kg to be realistic but at least it's a start.

  7. Its a great looking bike, would buy one if they were sold in Canada.

  8. I for one really like the looks of this 1200R.  I will say to introduce a new model that is styled after a racing motorcycle used for AMERICAN flat track racing in Europe is a real slap in the face for AMERICAN riders.  As many know, I am not Harley's biggest fan.  At least with this model I don't dismiss immediately.  I am glad to see HD offering a machine with some all around performance including good handling.

I for one have watched flat track racing over the years.  I have seen the Harleys screaming down the straightaway at the Indiana Mile in Indianapolis.  I like the looks of the XR750R's used for flat track racing.  I would love to find one of the beasts for a reasonable price.

Now if Harley would take the V-Rod engine and put it into a sport touring frame, with more emphasis on touring, then Harley would have a motorcycle that would fit my needs.

Still a shame the bike was introduced in Europe first.
