Anyone live in sydney?

i would like to go there one day and want to know what it's like?

i'm living in tasmania at moment

Hey I live in Tassie too!  I have never lived in Sydney but I have visited a few times.  It is very very different to Tas.  So much busier.  If you like the hustle and bustle of a big city than Sydney is what you are looking for.  I found it a bit frustrating at times with all the people there, as public transport is harder, line ups are so much longer and it's much more crowded.  But then, it is also a lot more exciting.  I don't think I could ever live in Sydney (maybe one of the outer suburbs would be okay) because it is just so crowded and busy, but it's an awesome place to go for a holiday.  I definitely recommend you check it out!  :)

I've lived in Sydney my whole life...and funnily enough was thinking of travelling to Tassie sometime soon.

Sydney is great.  It's got some beautiful sights, historic buildings, usually great weather and always something to do.

I imagine Tassie to be a sleepy little state though...so if you don't like the loud, hustle and bustle of the city, Sydney isn't for you.

Definitely worth a trip up though - just to say you've been!

Ive lived in Sydney for 47 years,best place to live, can be expensive, but has some wonderful places to visit,there are some great day trips you can do from sydney also,

Was born here, love it.

We are a s****., clannish, city, i think, though, so be careful.

If you're nice to us though, we'll be nice back, mostly!

Yup I have lived here for 17 years but not for much longer!  

I have loved this place, I came for a year and boy did I stay.  Awesome social life, wonderful restaurants, and a picture postcard view around every corner.

Having said that, I don't think Sydney is a good place to live right now as it is struggling.  It is expensive to have a nice place to live.  Public transport sucks.  Petrol expensive.  Daycare impossible.  Awful schools.  Everyone says it is like walking through mud... but it will come back to its former glory again because it always does.

But you must visit. So much fun to be had

Sydney is nice place except for the traffic and public transport. Even with the worst road system in Australia is a great city.
